Q. What does the Walk for Suicide Awareness benefit?

 All proceeds from the event will benefit The Center for Suicide Awareness; dedicated to preventing suicide through proactive education, training, emotional support, collaboration, and intervention.

Q. How do I register?
A.
 Pre-Registration is online only by clicking the Register link at the top of the page. Day-of registration will be available at an additional cost.

Q. If I am unable to participate in the walk can I still make a donation?
A. Yes. You are more than welcome to make a donation by mail. Make checks payable to: 'Walk for Suicide Awareness' and mail to: PO Box 845; Kaukauna, WI 54130.

Q. Where can I park?
A. Any permitted parking places in Kaukauna. We recommend the following free parking lots:

Q. Will there be Kringle's at the Walk?
A.
Unfortunately Kringle's will no longer be provided.

Q. Can I bring my dog/pet?
A. Unfortunately dogs/pets are not allowed to participate in the walk per the City of Kaukauna. Service dogs are more than welcome to accompany their owner on the walk.

Q. Can I pre-register online but pay the day of the Walk?
A. No. When pre-registering online, payment is required to complete your registration. Day-of registration will be available at an additional cost. However, no Walk T-Shirts will be provided for day-of registrants.

Q. Do children need to pay?
A. Children 12 and under are free, but must be registered to participate in the Walk.

Q. Can I bring my stroller or pull my child in a wagon?
A. Strollers and wagons are permitted, however all participants with strollers or wagons must start at the back of the group to minimize tripping hazards. Competitive running with jog strollers is not allowed. This is a 5K non-competitive walk only.

Q. Can I register a team the day of the Walk?
A. Unfortunately, team registration is only available for pre-registered participants.

Q. Can I pick up my t-shirt early?
A. Pre-registered participants can pick up their t-shirt(s) the night prior to the Walk from 5-7pm at Freedom Church, 112 W. Main Avenue in Kaukauna. Those registered as Teams must have one person pick up all Teams t-shirts at one time.

Q. Do I still need to register if I create my own personal design t-shirt for the walk?
A. Yes, all participants of the Walk must be registered in order to participate in the Walk.

Q. Are kids on bikes allowed? Roller skates? Skateboards??
A. No. For the safety of all participants, bikes, trikes, big wheels, roller blades, roller skates, wheelies, or skateboards are not allowed.

Q. Will the Walk be rescheduled for rain?
A. The walk will take place rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.
